On 5 February 1936 the Reich Minister of the Interior orders that anti-Jewish excesses occasioned by the assassination of Wilhelm Gustloff in Davos must be prevented1931

Re: prevention of excesses occasioned by the murder of Gustloff, NSDAP group leader for Switzerland.1934

With reference to my decree for the prevention of excesses from 20 August 1935 (III P 3710/59),1935 I order, in consultation with Deputy of the Führer Rudolf Hess, that individual actions against Jews that are motivated by the murder of the leader of the NSDAP regional branch in Switzerland, Wilhelm Gustloff, in Davos must under no circumstances take place.1936 I request that steps be taken against any such actions and that public safety and order be maintained. If excesses should occur, I am to be informed promptly by telephone or telegraph.
